prologueI've never been one to have "OTP's", or one true pairings. Of course, I have favourite couples, pairings that I think go well together relationship-wise, but I've never felt so adamant about a pair of fictional characters who are potentially a couple as well. Then Fuuko and Ichi came along. I've never felt so strongly for a couple before, I wanted them to get together and become official so bad. I found myself rooting for them insanely. As I read Parfait Tic!, every time these two characters interact or even just think of one another, I swoon with joy. Though I started read Parfait Tic parfait ticShoujo (girl's) manga in general hardly ever reach the same status of popularity and success as shounen (boy's) mangas like BLEACH or Fullmetal Alchemist, which is a shame, because there are some really great shoujo manga stories out there. Shoujo managa primarily targets middle and high school aged girls and touch on reality a lot more than shounen manga, dealing with stories that teenage girls can relate to (well, teenage girls in Japan, in any case). Parfait Tic! is a perfect example. ![]() What is Parfait Tic!? It is a Japanese manga series by Nagamu Nanaji, serialized in Margaret magazine. The series ended with 148 chapters (22 volumes worth). The exclamation mark [!] is an official part of the title. The story revolves around an average-looking, normal girl beginning her life in high school, Kameyama Fuuko. On the day before the first day of school, two cousins move into the apartment above her's, making them her neighbours: Shinpo Daiya and Shinpo Ichi. Daiya is a very happy and outgoing kind of person, while Ichi is a little cold and indifferent to everything. It's hard to believe they're related, except for the fact that they are both drop dead gorgeous. The three of them end being entangled in a complicated love triangle (but of course!) the pair that I likeThis pairing, affectionately called Fuuchi (created by merging their names together, fuuko with ichi) is one of the two possible main pairings in the Parfait Tic story, and one half of the love triangle that has our poor heroine so confused. Here's some information on the two individually, click their portrait!
